The Founder and Her Story
I’ve always been the One that everyone turns too when things get tough regardless of how big or small. My Southern Grama before she passed use to tell me all the time “The Good Lord gon' bless you real good one day” and knowing that was good enough for me to keep moving forward.
Christmas Eve of 2023, driving home from my sister’s house I suffered a panic attack on Interstate 75. Fear overcame me as I was driving down a stretch of dark road with no other vehicles around and no exit in sight. I rolled down my window desperately trying to catch my breath and begin praying to please just make it to the next exit. By Grace of God, I was able to get myself under control and get home safely. I’ve battled with depression and anxiety on and off for over a decade but never to the extent of suffering a panic attack and that made me re-evaluate my life.
Now beginning 2024 I’m suffering from recurring panic attacks and struggling with new discoveries with my personal health, plus the weight of loved one's issues / depending on me quickly turned into a terrible spiral. I’ve always been a promoter of positivity or finding the bright light in any situation regardless of how bad it may seem but, in that moment, I felt like someone blew out my candle and shut the door.
Like most in my situation, it took me some time and a lot of attempts to balance things, but I was desperate to occupy my mind and life with more positivity, and this led me to my inspiration of starting Ink Wear Fusion. Many years ago, I made personalized custom blankets for my loved ones for Christmas and thinking of all the Love and Joy I got from it led me full circle again beginning with Christmas but starting a different journey.
